The college was founded on July 15,1967, in response to an increasing demand for higher education in Cochin. The College symbolises the hopes and aspirations of the public of Cochin and is a milestone in the crowded history of the Commercial town of Cochin. Slowly but steadily the institution grew into a post-gradute college in 1995 from its humble beginning as a junior college in 1967.
